Our Purpose

Immanuel United Methodist Church is a multicultural community of faith made one family in Christ. We share and seek to pass on the heritage of love we have learned in Christ. We express our faith and love through group and individual worship, Christian education, mutual support, outreach to the community, and mission to the world. We seek spiritual and personal growth, the challenge of Christian service, and commitment to a closer relationship with God and one another.

We believe that all the world’s people are God’s children and that God calls his church to embrace them with love and concern. As a special mission emphasis we commit ourselves to reach out to and to welcome the unchurched children of our community. All are welcome in our Sunday School, worship, and fellowship — especially children regardless of parental involvement. In the name of Jesus Christ, the church throws wide her arms and says “let the children come to me.”
